An effortless staple I’m loving these days are elbow sleeve tops.
You can always count on them to feel polished and put together no matter what you pair them with. Aside from being practical, they’re a perfect choice for all body types, ages, and lifestyles.
I recommend mid-length sleeves because you’ll not only have the option to choose from a variety of styles (classic to semi-trendy), they also work great for transitional weather periods, will always look flattering, and, while coming just under the bust area, they expose the slimmest part of the upper arm which helps create a figure-flattering silhouette.
When considering a mid-length sleeve, here are some styles you should consider and why:
A Classic Elbow Sleeve Tee: if this is a newer style for you, a basic tee is casual, effortless, and offers plenty of comfort. It’s also the most transitional piece you can have and pairs well with denims, trousers, shorts, and skirts.

A Flutter Elbow Sleeve: this sleeve is a great style because it’s elegant, flowy, and feminine. With the help of the wide hem and flare design, it’ll make your arms appear slimmer and longer, making this style a quality choice to choose from.

A Roll Up Elbow Sleeve: you can either take an already relaxed sleeve and roll it up or invest in a top where it’s already done for you. Either way, the sleeve will be slightly “poofier” making it a great option for reducing the size of the arm.

A Henley Elbow Sleeve: a Henley collar takes a basic crewneck to an elevated approach with a three (or more) button placket that can be closed or opened. With a sleeve this sleek and lean, it’ll be easy to layer with blazers and jackets too.

A Puff Elbow Sleeve: a puffed elbow sleeve brings a trendy style to any neckline and while it might feel like they offer an unflattering widening affect, a more subtle puff shoulder in a mid-length is the way to go to shrink the arms.

So there you have it, a few mid-length sleeve options in different styles and cuts that all serve the same purpose; a transitional piece that’s easy to layer, more refined, and flattering on most, if not all figures.
