3 EASY WAYS TO APPLY THE 3-COLOR FORMULA/RULE TO A 3 EASY WAYS TO APPLY THE 3-COLOR FORMULA/RULE TO ANY OUTFIT:

1. Do not combine more than three colors at any given time (as a start, try sticking to muted tones, which I did here – all colors have a softer appearance and brightness)

2. Add black or white as a fourth option because it’s technically a tone, not a color (I added white shoes for a subtle way to make it all come together)

3. To kick start your color palette, stick two 2 neutrals and 1 color (in this case my color is the rusty orange blazer and my neutrals are my trousers and LV clutch – yes accessories count!)

Quick tip: once you’ve mastered the 3-color rule, bring in those brighter options to really set the tone.

Here's 3 ways to shop your closet: 1. Edit your c Here's 3 ways to shop your closet:

1. Edit your closet: Pull out all of your favorite pieces, your least favorite, and the pieces you struggle with. This will narrow down the pieces you want to use to be creative and those you'll purge because they no longer serve a purpose in your wardrobe.

2. Explore new looks by getting out of your comfort zone. Try mixing up different styles or vibes together. Be daring by pulling out one of your dresses and pairing them with sneakers.

3. Get inspired. Create a visual representation of the type of style you gravitate towards and what feels like you. Utilize Pinterest to create seasonal boards with outfits that make you excited and from those outfits, try to find similar pieces you already own and repurpose them to evoke the same vibe.
So, I know I dont usually focus on “trends” ho So, I know I dont usually focus on “trends” however, these pieces lean classic, and it’ll all come down to how you style them, and what you pair them with

Some of my favorite styles for this season are:

➡️Bold statement colors: sticking to one color is more than enough, you don’t want to overdue it. I’d recommend going either red, or a pink berry tone.

➡️Tailored, but relaxed trousers with pleats: based on experience, these are hard to find. Not impossible, it’ll just take some digging, but once you find them, hold on tight

➡️Elevated basic tops: a top with subtle detailing at the shoulder will do the trick. This style is an option that can go a long way in your wardrobe and is not only timeless, but can dress up a casual look effortlessly

➡️ Structured cargo pants: cargo pants will be all over the place this season. My recommendation? Go for a structured cut, it’ll make the pant WAY more versatile

➡️Midi denim skirts with slits: this option could be a way to get more comfortable with wearing skirts because it’s less formal, and when it’s done right and you nail it, you won’t regret it

HOW TO DRESS UP CHUNKY BOOTS: Chunky boots may se HOW TO DRESS UP CHUNKY BOOTS:

Chunky boots may seem edgy, however, they’re a lot more versatile than one might think.

Tips to dressing up your chunky boots (in this case my doc martens) so you get more use out of them for date nights, work weeks, and more.

1. Wear them with full length black pants/jeans. A full length will lean on the more refined side

2. Add a silt collared shirt to elevate your boots. You can never go wrong with a collared shirt for either a professional, or dressier look

3. Obviously the boots…make sure you wear the pant leg over the boot so you just see the rounded edge. It adds a sleeker element

4. Last but not least, stick to a longer lengths for outerwear. A trench coat is a classic option that takes the whole look to a new, sophisticated level

An easy way to mix colors is to focus on one color An easy way to mix colors is to focus on one color family and adding one other piece in a different color family.

While these colors might be a reach or too bold for some, as long as you stick to a core color for your base (in this case the base color is gray) and sticking to a muted accent color (in this case my accent color is rust), most earth and muted tones seem to do the trick!

If you’d like to create an outfit mixing colors but you feel like it’s a little out of your comfort zone — send me a photo via DM with you in that outfit and I’ll give you some guidance 🙃
HOW TO DRESS UP YOUR SWEATPANTS: If you want to k HOW TO DRESS UP YOUR SWEATPANTS:

If you want to keep things simple, choose pieces that match for a monochromatic look. All-black is a simple choice, but you can opt for other neutrals in slightly different shades to keep your look streamlined.

Instead of reaching for a sweatshirt, wear your sweatpants with on layering piece that will make them look put together. Think: a trench, a leather jacket, or in this case, a blazer.

The quickest way to dress up a pair of sweats is to change up your shoes. Adding a boot with a subtle heel will automatically elevate your look and make your sweatpants look fancier. You can also try a flat or a refined non-athletic sneaker.

Your overall appearance can make quite a difference. For a polished look, style your hair in an updo and accessorize with a smaller handbag, such as a clutch.

Capsule wardrobes were developed to maintain a col Capsule wardrobes were developed to maintain a collection of pieces that can be mixed and matched over time.

When building a capsule wardrobe I would focus on:

1. Making sure you choose the right colors for your capsule wardrobe

2. Selecting a color scheme with 4 colors: two base colors and two accent colors

Keep in mind that whichever colors you choose should flow together senselessly because that’s going to be imperative to getting dressed efficiently and quickly.
